What I do not do!

The Bichon fluffy look. I think it is cruel as you have to slicker (brush) out all the knots and fluff up all the hair. I have never met a dog who enjoys it! It really hurts the dog!!!!

Any Poodle fancy cuts for the same principle.

For both these breeds I do a short back and sides with a fluffy head and ears and tail if requested.

Large and medium sized dogs will not be 100% dry when they are returned. If I dried them 100% I would only do one dog a day! The worst of the water will be taken off but please be aware they will still be damp in places. So make sure they can go into a warm room to dry off or outside if it is a warm day. Depending on the size and coat of the dog they may not be 100% dry for a few hours or even until the next day.

For large dogs eg. Newfoundlands, large long haired GSD’s etc. to wash, dry, groom and clip is a very large job for one person in a van and you may be better off going to a parlour where there is more room and normally more than one person to help with the dog.

Do not expect your dog not to shed any more hair after I have groomed the dog. After a good brush, it will help keep the moulting hair down but I cannot beat nature and people should not be afraid to use the hoover in their homes!
